I'm Back, Again

308. Ok, I'm back, again. For real this time. Check out that number. 308. I hit my all time high today. I don't know if anyone that reads this is a basketball fan. I am. If you do follow the NBA, than maybe you have been following what has been happening to Larry Miller, the owner of the Utah Jazz.

Last summer, he sort of disappeared. It turns out that he had suffered a heart attack and had complications with his diabetes. He spent two months in the hospital. Last month, he had both legs amputated below the knees. Today, he died. The infamous "diabetic complications" again.

So, someone famous (locally, anyway) has died and I'm well over three bills. 308. I guess it's time. To quote David Bowie - "Ch-ch-Changes. Just gonna have to be a different man."

Diabetic Dave is Back!

296. Welcome! I'm Diabetic Dave. I used to have a blog that I was paying for called Diabetic Dave. This one is free and much more stripped down. I think that this one will ultimately end up being what the other one started out as. Yes, the 296 is what I weigh. Ouch. Tomorrow it starts going down. Hopefully.

I have type 2 diabetes. I ate my way into it. Back in July of 2004 my doctor told me that if I didn't lose weight, I would have to start shooting up insulin. So, I dropped from 248 to 200.5 which was where I was on December 31, 2004.

Unfortunately, I kind of lost it. Since then, I've been steadily putting the weight back on. Plus, I added an extra 55 pounds to it. Yes, I hit 303 last October. I'm 5 foot 5. In December of 2006, my doctor put me on insulin.

That's it for today. I just wanted to say that I'm back. I guess I'll start analyzing myself to see if I can figure out what the heck is wrong with me emotionally. Bye.
